Deepika Padukone [Exclusive]

From being a dream girl Shanti to the epitome of love Mastani, Deepika Padukone has made herself the most price worthy and versatile actress of b-town.

This journey of 8 years in limelight was not easy for her, she had undergone many downfalls from box office failures to criticisms from critics.

But the past few years witnessed her consistent career as a leading noteworthy celebrity.

She came to Mumbai all the way from Bangalore to pursue her dreams and finally got the break in 2008 with the successful movie Ohm Shanti Ohm. After testing her hands in various genre of films from psychological thrillers like Karthik calling Karthik, humorous subjects like Housefull and romantic comedies like love aaj kal, Bachna ae haseeno etc, she slowly but steadily started making a remarkable mark in the industry.

But it was Cocktail released in 2012 which proved to be the turning point in her acting life re- establishing her career as a successful actress who not only look good but can act well too. This success was followed by consecutive hits like YJHD, Chennai Express, Ram-leela in which the latter fetched her the first best actress Filmfare award.
She has not yet played a co-star to leading actors like Salman, Aamir and Hrithik, but is of course one of the most valuable heroine of Bollywood and someone everybody look up to.

Speaking in other contexts like celebrity endorsements, she topped in this list too especially last year. She left no stone unturned to  make a big mark in the big Bollywood despite of not having a cinema background.

I never had any admiration for her until I saw Bajirao Mastani's trailer and after watching the movie twice, I wonder why I wasn't her fan before.
In addition to this was watching Tamasha which I did prior to two weeks of watching Bajirao and was literally smitten by her versatility.

Now I look up to her upcoming movies with enthusiasm and I am proud enough to say that I am a Deepika Padukone fan and wishes her all the best for her Hollywood debut. 

Dileep, Kanchanamala and the Moideen movie!!!

Kanchanamala became an household name in Kerala after the ravishing success of Ennu Ninte moideen. I personally loved the film too. Many of the news regarding the movie and it's real life characters Moideen and Kanchanamala were celebrated and shown in media, but the recent one regarding Dileep who came up with a helping hand for Kanchanamala caught my eye.      

Kanchanamala who always dreamt of constructing a new building (seva Mandir) in Moideen's name was never able to do that due to financial barriers. But after this movie's success and her articles appearing in various media, Dileep called her and asked whether he could help her. He recently visited Mukkam in Calicut for the same and did the financial help.                                                                  

What I found interesting was the news stating how Dileep did something that the movie's technicians and hero were obliged to do.To an extent I support these statements since the movie collected so much, the real heroine from whose life this beautiful movie was made deserved a help from them.   The director of the movie later gave justification for having some misunderstandings between kanchanamala which were created by others and sighted it as a barrier.                                    

Prithviraj, an actor who holds history in giving clear cut answers in all matters preferred to keep silent on this issue even after his name was dragged into this stating that he should have done this instead of  Dileep since he got to know more about her by this time.                    
 In my opinion this help should have come from Ennu Ninte moideen team's side,but I do  appreciate Dileep for his kindhearted behaviour.                                                                      

Somehow I feel like relating this to all the social services that Manju warrier is engaged in and it seems like the estranged couples are on a strict competition in doing such charities....just joking!!!                                          

Anyways whatever and whoever did this, it is extremely delightful that such a strong lady could finally fulfill her dreams which she really deserved. After all she is someone to be really admired and proud of, keeping in mind the trials and tribulations she went through and is really a role model of eternal and unconditional love.

Kangana in a dilemma

Kangana Ranuat, the National award winning actress who was on cloud nine is currently going through a bad phase with her recent box failure 'Katti batti' which comes just  after the success of 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns'.

To add to the misery this failure comes just after her declarations of being the top actress in the industry in comparison to her contemporaries. She is also the highest paid heroine with 11cr. remuneration per film.

Kangana's frank and confident revelations always dragged media attention. Like how she became successful without acting with 'khans' and that she individually can make a movie successful without the presence of hero's stardom.

But she has also declared her desire to act with Aamir Khan and Ranbir Kapoor, the former himself has also asked her for the same. But she has her own condition for such a venture  that she should also have a prominent role in it as significant as the hero which she believes has lesser chance to happen.
Her issue with Deepika Padukone not congratulating her directly for Queen and dedicating Deepika's award to her publicly was also criticised by her.

It is said that salman suggested kangana to hear 'katti batti's script and later on she agreed to do so and now a new rumour also popped up that she has rejected to do a film with Sooraj Pancholi recommended by Salman, although she denied it.
More than her, 'katti batti's failure has affected the struggling actor Imran Khan for whom it was like a re-launch after the previous box-office disasters. Although she said its time to move on to next films, it will not be that easy for Imran.

It is to be seen whether her demands and words will change after the failure, since many people in the industry feels that she is going too fast in comparison to her fellow mates who have more hits to their credit.
There is no doubt in her talent and versatility,but I am confused whether the fame is affecting her personality or is it her bold reply to those who neglected and insulted her on the basis of her accent and fashion sense during her struggling past.

A celebrated marriage and a controversial break-up

He spotted her in a heavy traffic jam and that became his life changing moment. From his challenge to his friend(Uday Chopra) that he will marry her in future  to his proposal bringing tears to her eyes, it was nothing less than a fairy tale love story. I am speaking about the once golden couple of Bollywood Hrithik Roshan and Suzzane Khan.

Their separation came as a shock and  all the speculations after that is well known to the public.

Recent news that Suzzane is going to marry Hrithik's close friend added more spice to the story.   Suzzane's own brother and actor Zayed Khan's requested to people to let her go and to stop publishing such fake news.

When talking about their divorce the most talked about name was of Arjun Rampal's who is said to have too much bonding with Suzzane and is a close friend of Hrithik.
Once news also broke out that Arjun is getting seperated from his wife because of Suzzane which although was later clarified as untrue.

On a personal note, being a Hrithik fan my mind is tempted towards taking his side.

Suzzane's family is still in close contact with him and tried their best to work on the ex-couples relation until they officially divorced in last November.

Hrithik's photo with his kids and family celebrating Ganesh chathurthi became very popular in social media recently.

On the other hand Suzzane is heard to be working to become stable and independent to look after the kids.


Whatever be the reason, it is really sad that yet another beautiful love story of Bollywood became a memorable history.

Two sisters and one hero

 Malayalees dear 'malootty' is a gorgeous grown up girl now. The news that she is making a comeback had hit the headlines and now the most interesting part of this is that her sister and ace actress shalini's first hero becomes her first hero too.

Shalini-Kunchacko Boban pair is still remembered and missed and 15 years from then, shamlee is all set to romance Kuchacko in her debut film as a heroine in  'vallim thetti pullim thetti'.


Where in some people are eagerly waiting for the new Jodi to hit the screens, some take this in a different sense. They feel that Kunchacko boban is going in a wrong track by acting with very young actresses like many other mainstream actors. But for those people to know, I would like to tell that shamlee is no more a child and that she is 29 years old, just 10 years younger to the actor. Even Malayalam's most popular pair Dileep-Kavya has 13 years of age difference. So what matters is how they look on the big screen, whatever is behind the camera stays there itself. If they manage to look decent in the limelight, its absolutely fine.
 There are only very few actresses of 30-40 age limit who look young to do such roles and most of them act with heroes of 50+, so heroes of 40 will act with heroines aged between 20-30, quite natural to happen.

In a recent interview shamlee spoke about the good rapport she shares with Kunchacko lovably called chackochan and that she is very happy to work with him. The actor too in a very dramatic manner introduced his new film's heroine through his Facebook page by first giving a photo that shows only her eyes and later on revealing the face. The photo shoot of shamlee for this picture was done by her brother-in-law and Tamil superstar Ajith.

It is to be seen whether the evergreen chemistry made by 'Niram' jodi in 1999 will be repeated by shamlee and Kunchacko or not.

'Vinnai thaandi varamaatte'

This was really an unexpected and unpleasant news about the South Indian Lady superstar Trisha.
Its been just three months to her engagement with Varun Manian and now she declares her break up with him.

The reasons of course remain hidden but lot of interpretations are sure to come.

Celebrity break ups and divorces are common but after an official engagement and announcement of wedding, its quite rare.

Both of the them shared the same platform of film industry, one as an actress and another as a producer The gossip mongers came up with various conclusions. Some said her dreams were too big for him and some had an opinion that his mind was too short for her to carry on with her dreams and aspirations. Or may be something else better known to them.

Its anyways good to have a decent break up before marriage than having a vulgar and controversial divorce after marriage. Its right to say that they utilised this three months for the same.

I guess this is actually important in the current celebrity era where they head for divorce as they hardly try to understand each other before marriage and decides everything spontaneously which eventually ends up in a broken family.

A look back

Lot of personal and academic things kept me away from blogging for past few months. Today I realised that the greatest relief you get is when you do something which you love the most.

That is the reason why I am back. Many pleasant and unpleasant things happened with regard to films and celebrities. The first thing to be discussed is the differences in opinion of two actors and the media hype about the same.

Jyothika's comeback through 36 vayadhinile[Tamil remake of How old are you] is gearing a lot of publicity though not as much that Manju warrier earned for How old are you. I feel it is the basic mindset of people which makes Manju's comeback more hyped. Jyothika is marking her comeback through a film which is produced by Surya, her husband and a leading actor of Kollywood. In Manju's case her husband though is in many ways are similar to Surya considering height, Stardom and versatility had a different opinion in his wife's return.

Dileep decided to separate from his wife when she returned to limelight whereas Surya is the reason for jyothika's return. No media or none of the people are talking about Surya's great gesture and personality but is still behind Dileep and Manju who have parted their ways a year before and officially got separated a month before.

The magazine still features their individual interviews and talks about their love story which is senseless to them and to the readers. Its high time media and people should realise the fact that sticking on and sensationalising a single topic is not the right way to express what you want. The pleasant and fortunate things also deserve a place in being publicised.
